Mirage Sues Online Casino for Trademark Infringement

MGM Mirage's Mirage Resorts Inc. has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against two companies, Baltic Consultants Ltd. and Travill Consultants of Tortola, based in the British Virgin Islands for allegedly linking the Treasure Island name to an online casino, Supreme Casino. Mirage filed the suit after the companies ignored Mirage's demands to stop using the Mirage Resorts' Treasure Island trademark and the domain name "www.wwwtreasureislandlasvegas.com" by October 9, 2000.

The defendants could not be reached for comment.
